STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT AND PERFORMANCE MONITORING: A CASE STUDY OF ÁGUA TCHIOWA LDA, IN CABINDA

Abstract

This study examines strategic management based on performance monitoring to improve the efficiency and competitiveness of mineral water production companies in Cabinda, using Água Tchiowa, Lda as a case study. The primary objective is to analyze how management tools and performance indicators contribute to operational efficiency and business success in the sector. A qualitative and quantitative research methodology was applied, involving financial and operational data collection, interviews with managers and specialists, and questionnaires applied to 75 employees. The results revealed key challenges such as low clarity of strategic objectives and predominant use of manual monitoring. A structured performance monitoring system is proposed. Findings indicate that implementing such a system significantly enhances strategic decision-making, leading to higher productivity, improved product quality, and increased customer satisfaction. The study concludes that adopting innovative and technological practices can serve as a competitive advantage for mineral water companies in Cabinda.
