IMPACTOS PSICOSSOCIAIS DO TRANSTORNO DE PERSONALIDADE BORDERLINE NA FAMÍLIA: UMA REVISÃO INTEGRATIVA

Resumo

Objetivo: Integrar as principais evidências cientificas sobre os impactos psicossociais do Transtorno de Personalidade Borderline (TPB) na família. Método: Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa em que a busca na literatura foi realizada nas seguintes bases de dados: PsycInfo, Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval Sistem (Medline) via Pubmed, Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde (LILACS) via (BVS) e PePSIC. Resultados e Discussão: foram selecionados 16 estudos, cujos resultados foram integrados em duas categorias, com suas subdivisões: impactos sociais (Comunicação do diagnóstico pela equipe de saúde; acesso aos serviços; problemas financeiros; estigma e rede de apoio) e impactos psicológicos (sobrecarga subjetiva; transtornos psiquiátricos e enfrentamento de comportamentos disfuncionais). Conclusão: Pode-se inferir que desde o início dos sintomas de TPB a família já enfrenta impactos significativos, gerando sobrecarga e piora no quadro do familiar diagnosticado. Os familiares precisam estar inseridos ativamente no tratamento do paciente, sendo necessário um maior investimento em pesquisas de estratégias que possam ajudá-los a minimizar os impactos psicossociais do TPB na família.
