A BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE CONCEPTS OF TERRAFORMING MARS AND ITS POSSIBILITIES

The main idea of this article is to provide a synthesized outline of the terraforming concepts that appeared in the technical literature. The general objective is to present the main steps that need to be developed in order to make Mars an environment suitable for life as we know it. It is worth mentioning that this is a documentary research and the methodology is based on the concepts of published references on the subject addressed. The results show that even with many barriers still to be overcome, the idea of Terraforming Mars is no longer unviable. Some measures, such as bio-engineering of ecopoiesis, may make it possible to terraform Mars for the human race. Finally, it is hoped that this work can be seen as a reference guide for progress for any future researchers who are curious or interested in the subject
