Objective: to map the triggering factors of allergic conjunctivitis in children and adolescents. Method: integrative review, it was carried out in 6 steps - elaboration of the guiding question; search or sampling in the literature; data collect; critical analysis of included studies; discussion of results and presentation of the integrative review. The extension of the PRISMA-ScR checklist was used to search and select articles, using Health Science Descriptors and Medical Subject Headings, in LILACS databases, via Virtual Health Library, MEDLINE, via PubMed and ScienceDirect. Studies with children (up to 10 years old) and adolescents (10 to 19 years old) that address triggering factors of allergic conjunctivitis were considered as inclusion criteria. The selection of studies was performed by two independent researchers. The articles were organized within the Mendeley software and the results presented in tables, with subsequent narrative discussion. Result: From the primary search, 4769 articles were found and after applying the exclusion and inclusion criteria, 17 articles were eligible for this integrative review. Most of the publications were made in Asia (9) and carried out in the years 2018-2020. The main risk factors found were: dust (8), animal hair (5), mite (4), use of antibiotics in childhood and history of other allergies (3). Final considerations: most of the risk factors found are preventable, so it is necessary to identify these factors and seek measures to reduce their incidence.
