Congenital clubfoot is an orthopedic deformity of the lower limbs caused by foot alignment and compromised flexibility. The most commonly used method today is Ponseti method, which consists of maneuvers and immobilizations using casts. Objective: To analyze the effectiveness of physical therapy using the Ponseti Method in the treatment of CTS. Method: This is a systematic review, in which the electronic databases SCIELO, PubMed, MEDLINE, PEDro and Lilacs were used for data collection. Articles published between the period 2018 to 2023 were analyzed. The selection tool used was the PICO Method and the flowchart construction method applied was the PRISMA Method. The descriptors: congenital clubfoot; Treatment; Ponseti Method were combined with the Boolean operator (AND). Results: After the selections of the studies, 10 articles were analyzed confirming that the Ponseti Method is the most efficient in the treatment of CTS, and its techniques are coincident with those used by physical therapists, being suitable its practicability by this professional. Conclusion: The Ponseti Method has shown positive results and a low rate of return to PTC deformity, avoiding surgical procedures that can lead to complications. Compared to the Kite Method in the treatment of PTC, the Ponseti Method showed better results in the rate of correction of the deformity, the rate of recurrence, and the need for surgery. Regarding the role of the physiotherapist in this area, we observed a scarce dissemination in scientific journals of studies on this topic.
