Abstract

The present Critical Review proposes to analyze guiding notions of meaning about Literary Criticism through the concepts present in Criticism and Truth by Roland Barthes (2007), followed by Theory of Literature: An Introduction by Eagleton (2006); ABC da Crítica by Nuno Judice (2012) and Altas Literaturas de Moisés (1998), seeking to understand the main developments that culminated in the current Literary Criticism and its possible future implications.
