COMPUTING IN EDUCATION: SCHOOL MANAGEMENT AND THE IMPLEMENTATION PHASES OF AN EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY PROJECT

Abstract

This work discusses the use of Information Technology in Education, bringing a reflection on the importance of the role of school management and the coordinating teacher of educational technology. With the insertion of computers in schools and the use of technologies available on the Internet, educational institutions underwent changes in the school routine, in the procedures of pedagogical practices in view of the use of technological resources. In this sense, the objective is to reflect on the implementation of an educational technology project, showing the possible paths to which school management should direct its actions in order to carry out the transition phases. To this end, a bibliographical research was carried out, in a qualitative approach, with the objective of making a contextual analysis and bringing proposals for the insertion of Informatics in Education, considering the questions raised, namely: the role of school management and the coordinating teacher of educational technology, the phases for implementing an educational technology project. This bibliographic research was based on the following authors: Valente (1993), (2001), Barros (2009), Bona (2009), Tajra (2012) and Ferreira (2014). Our considerations suggest the need to continue the discussion of the aforementioned theme, reiterating the inevitability of democratic management and planning by school management, prioritizing the use of information technology, enabling means to enhance new forms of pedagogical practices aligned with technological resources, aiming to better meet the expectations of students in the 21st century.
