Introduction: Peripheral arterial disease leads to functional limitations due to ischemia and is associated with a high risk of cardiovascular morbidity and mortality. Objective: This study aims to epidemiologically analyze hospitalizations and urgent procedures performed for peripheral arterial obstructive disease in the western macroregion of Paraná. Method: This is a descriptive cross-sectional observational epidemiological study using data obtained from DATASUS. Results and Discussion: There was a predominance of males, white ethnicity, and individuals aged 60 to 79 years. The data showed a total of 683 hospitalizations for urgent open (65.5%; n = 448) and endovascular (34.4%; n = 235) revascularization procedures, with a total expenditure of R$ 2,247,951.02. In open surgeries, the average length of hospital stay was 6.8 days, with 13 deaths. In endovascular surgeries, the average hospital stay was 4.4 days, with only 1 death. Final Remarks: Based on the data obtained, it was possible to describe the epidemiology of hospitalizations and procedures for peripheral vascular diseases in the western macroregion of Paraná.
