CRITICAL REVIEW OF THE ARTICLE: “CAMP: AN ANALYSIS BASED ON THE CONCEPTS OF PHYSIOLOGY AND BIOPHYSICS”
Abstract
Cramps are considered an involuntary contraction of skeletal muscle, resulting in severe pain. Therefore, the article “Cramping: an analysis based on the concepts of physiology and biophysics”, published in 2016, was used as a scientific basis, with the aim of understanding the definition, highlighting the mechanisms of contraction of the skeletal muscle, establishing a relationship between cramp and the diffusion characteristics of potassium ions. In addition, this article presents the concepts in scientific and common sense perspectives, having different views on this subject due to the diversity of audiences.
