THE NEED FOR READJUSTMENT OF THE GEOGRAPHICAL BOUNDARIES IN THE NEIGHBORHOODS OF THE SOUTHERN REGION OF CURITIBA: AN APPROACH FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF RADIO PATROLLING

With population growth, industrial and commercial development, and, consequently, an increase in the demand for incidents to be attended by the Military Police of Paraná, especially in the area of responsibility of the 13th Military Police Battalion, this work aims to demonstrate a suggestion for the readjustment of the geographical boundaries of the Tatuquara, Campo de Santana, Umbará, Ganchinho, Sítio Cercado, Pinheirinho and Cidade Industrial de Curitiba neighborhoods, and the creation of a new neighborhood called Osternack, aiming at optimizing the human and physical resources of the Military Police for incident response. The scientific method employed is that of descriptive and exploratory research, both qualitative and quantitative, with the research and production techniques consisting of literature review and data collection from various sources, available online and in incident management and control systems. Through the data and results presented, it is observed that the readjustment is currently necessary, as it will reduce the response time regarding the PMPR’s service, by providing a better division of subareas, and develop an activity of excellence in relation to society.
