Abstract

This work aims to explore contemporary educational trends and the evolution of the teacher's role in the context of a constantly changing educational scenario. The research seeks to identify how new pedagogical approaches impact the teaching practice and learning of students. Current educational trends, such as personalization of learning, the use of digital technologies and collaborative learning, are redefining the school environment. In this context, the role of the teacher is transformed, from a mere transmitter of knowledge to a facilitator of the learning process, who should be able to adapt his strategies to meet the diverse needs of the students. The research adopts a bibliographic approach, analyzing works by renowned authors in the field of education and official documents on pedagogical practices. The theories underlying educational trends and the implications for the teacher's role will be reviewed, considering social and technological changes. Current educational trends require teachers to adopt a more flexible and collaborative posture, integrating active technologies and methodologies into their practices. It is concluded that for this transformation to occur effectively, it is essential that teachers seek continuous training and are open to innovations. The role of the teacher, therefore, is central in the creation of a dynamic and inclusive learning environment, capable of preparing students for the challenges of the 21st century.
