A CASE STUDY ON THE LEADERSHIP OF DAVID AND MOSES: STRATEGIC INSIGHTS FOR CONTEMPORARY LEADERS

Abstract

This research aimed to develop a model of leadership strategies inspired by the trajectories of David and Moses, with applications for managers operating in modern organizational environments. A qualitative approach was employed, structured into three specific objectives: a bibliographic review mapping classical and contemporary studies on historical leadership and social neuroscience; a qualitative investigation through structured in-depth interviews and a face-to-face focus group with ten professionals from diverse profiles, regardless of religious affiliation; and the development of mind maps that visually systematized the emerging leadership attributes, facilitating the identification of connections between concepts and practices. The results were organized into three main blocks. The bibliographic review highlighted principles such as resilience, leadership purpose, and decision-making under pressure. The interviews and focus group revealed narratives of empathy, adaptability, and emotional contagion, illustrated by testimonials about team unification and follower mobilization. The mind maps, in turn, demonstrated the interconnection between resilience, empathy, adaptability, emotional intelligence, and emotional contagion as determining factors for group engagement and cohesion. The analysis, based on data triangulation, direct interpretation, and content analysis, confirmed the contemporary relevance of these ancient leadership principles for addressing current organizational challenges.
