ANALYSIS OF OSTENSIBLE POLICING STRATEGIES IN THE CONTROL OF INTENTIONAL LETHAL VIOLENCE IN SANTARÉM-PA

The work analyzes the strategies of ostensible policing in the control of intentional lethal violence in Santarém-PA, highlighting the effectiveness of integrated operations between the Civil and Military Police, the use of technology and operational intelligence, and the prevention of events of great affluence. Based on official data from 2025, the study shows that actions such as Operation Sairé, the use of smart security totems, and the reconfiguration of police personnel contributed to the absence of homicides for 36 consecutive days, a historic milestone for the municipality. The qualitative methodology, with documentary analysis and bibliographic research, shows that institutional integration, strategic planning and ostensive presence are determining factors for the reduction of Intentional Lethal Violent Crimes (CVLI). Despite the advances, the author emphasizes the need for long-term policies, with investment in training, logistics and social prevention to ensure the sustainability of the results.
