ANALYZER FLOWCHART FOR WORK MANAGEMENT IN THE TUBERCULOSIS PROGRAM AT A HEALTH UNIT: EXPERIENCE REPORT
Abstract
The objective of this work is to present the experiences and stages of building a flowchart analyzing work management in the tuberculosis program in a basic health unit. This is a descriptive study, of the experience report type, where the creation of an analytical flowchart was shared by health professionals and students of undergraduate courses in the health area, participants of the Education through Work for Health Program (PET-Saúde), focusing on managing the work process in the Tuberculosis Program. The study was carried at the component of the primary health care service, located in São Luís, Maranhão. The following data collection techniques were used: unsystematic supervised observation (interviewers and preceptor participants), analysis of the physical structure of the unit and the portfolio of visits. The experience was significant and contributed to improving the service flow and work processes, leaving them in a visible and accessible format for everyone.

Specialist in Maternal and Child Health, Family Health, Black Women’s Health, and Teaching and Health Services. Served as a preceptor in the PET REDES Psychosocial Care – UFMA (2013–2015) and PET-GRADUA-SUS – Pharmacy Group – UFMA (2016–2018).
Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition (2008), with a Master’s (2010) and PhD in Public Health from UFMA (2016). Specialist in Evidence-Informed Health Policy Management (Hospital Sírio-Libanês, 2021) and in Health Education (UFRGS, 2015). Assistant Professor in the Department of Physiological Sciences at UFMA and Deputy Coordinator of UNASUS/UFMA. Permanent faculty member of RENASF/UFMA and invited professor in the Graduate Program in Public Health at UFMA. Works in the areas of Digital Health, Technology and Innovation in Health Education, participating in research groups in the field.
Pharmacist-biochemist, with a Master’s degree (2001) and PhD (2005) in Biosciences and Biotechnology Applied to Pharmacy from UNESP, and postdoctoral training at Fiocruz/MG (2020). Specialist in Clinical Pharmacy, Health Education, and FAIMER Brazil training. Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacy at UFMA and faculty member in graduate programs (PPGSAD and RENASF). Coordinated several PET-Saúde programs at UFMA (2013–2023) and was a FAPEMA productivity fellow. Currently serves on institutional committees, including the Research Ethics Committee of HU/UFMA and the Curator Council of Fundação Josué Montello.
