REGENERATIVE DESIGN APPLIED TO TOURISM: A METHODOLOGY FOR THE SYSTEMIC TRANSFORMATION OF TERRITORIES

Abstract

Este artículo presenta la metodología de Diseño Regenerativo para Territorios y Comunidades (DRTC), desarrollada en Brasil, como un enfoque aplicado para la transformación de territorios afectados por procesos socioecológicos y económicos degenerativos. Desde una perspectiva sistémica y de investigación aplicada, describe un modelo estructurado en seis fases que integra análisis territorial, cocreación, gobernanza y monitoreo regenerativo. Adicionalmente, propone un marco conceptual que posiciona la sostenibilidad, el turismo responsable y la regeneración como dimensiones complementarias. Los resultados evidencian impactos en el desarrollo territorial, el fortalecimiento comunitario y la dinamización de economías locales.

Luciana De Lamare, Instituto Aupaba

Luciana De Lamare is an independent researcher, writer, and specialist in regenerative tourism and territorial development. She is Founder and President of Instituto Aupaba, a Brazilian organization dedicated to regenerative design for territories and communities. Her work integrates tourism, ESG, governance, cultural heritage, and community development. She has experience in projects with public institutions, private companies, and international organizations. She is also a speaker on sustainability, regeneration, and innovation.
