SOCIAL DETERMINANTS RELATED TO ACCESS TO PRENATAL CARE AMONG PREGNANT WOMEN IN SITUATIONS OF SOCIAL VULNERABILITY
Abstract
Objective: To analyze the influence of social determinants on access to prenatal care among pregnant women in situations of social vulnerability in Brazil. Methodology: A qualitative literature review conducted using the PubMed and SciELO databases, as well as documents from the Unified Health System. Results: The studies demonstrated that low income, low educational level, racial inequalities, and difficulties in accessing healthcare services compromise the continuity of prenatal care. Final considerations: Structural inequalities that limit access to prenatal care persist, reinforcing the need for public policies aimed at equity in health.
