USE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI)
USE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE – TERMS OF USE AND ETHICS POLICY
Authors are fully responsible for the use of artificial intelligence tools in the preparation of manuscripts, analyses, translations, textual revisions, figure generation, or data processing. It is mandatory to clearly and transparently declare in the body of the manuscript any assistance or use of generative artificial intelligence, explicitly indicating the tool used and the extent of its application in the development of the work.
The omission or inadequate disclosure of the use of artificial intelligence in content production may result in the immediate rejection of the manuscript, the retraction of an already published article, or the application of other editorial sanctions, at the discretion of the journal’s editorial team.
When artificial intelligence tools are used, authors must include a specific section in the manuscript describing the methods adopted, the tools employed, and the purpose of their use, for example: “This work used the [name of AI tool] for textual editing, translation, or statistical analysis purposes.” The use of artificial intelligence for the generation of ideas, formulation of conclusions, or interpretation of results must be explicitly identified and justified. Under no circumstances may AI tools be listed as authors or co-authors, as they do not hold ethical, scientific, or intellectual responsibility for the content produced.
The journal assumes no responsibility for any inaccuracies, biases, conceptual errors, or methodological inadequacies arising from the authors’ use of artificial intelligence tools. It is the sole responsibility of the authors to ensure the scientific validity, accuracy of information, originality of the content, and ethical integrity of the submitted work.
All authors are equally responsible for ensuring that the use of artificial intelligence complies with research ethics and scientific publishing standards, including respect for copyright, privacy, data confidentiality, and applicable legislation.
Reviewers are encouraged to carefully observe the transparency, adequacy, and coherence of the use of artificial intelligence in the manuscripts under evaluation. If inconsistencies, omissions, or improper use are identified, they must be reported to the editorial board for appropriate action.
The use of artificial intelligence tools by the RECIMA21 editorial team will be restricted to operational support activities, such as keyword suggestions, assistance with textual standardization, or similarity checks. All editorial, scientific, and ethical decisions will be made exclusively by human editors, preserving the autonomy, responsibility, and integrity of the editorial process.
