ENVIRONMENTAL RACISM AND INDIGENOUS COMM A DECOLONIAL AND HISTORICAL VIEW OF THE INDIGENOUS STRUGGLE TODAY

The present dissertation has as its theme Environmental Racism with a focus on indigenous communities. Through a historical cut, we understand the history of environmental racism and how it applies to Brazilian history through data and official documents that bring the focus on the ethnic and racial proprietary housing conditions claimed in this period, as well as portray the ethnic damage suffered by indigenous populations in the country by making a historical and legislative parameter on the protection of the rights of indigenous peoples in order to achieve the following questions: How were indigenous peoples isolated and excluded from the Brazilian development process? Why are indigenous populations still today denied their rights and are the first communities to suffer the consequences of capitalism?
