DIGITALIZATION IN PUBLIC SECURITY: ASSESSMENT OF THE USE OF A MOBILE APPLICATION IN POLICE INTELLIGENCE OF THE 23rd BPM

Digitalization has significantly transformed public administration, including the operations of law enforcement institutions. This article aims to analyze the impact of a mobile application, developed using a low-code platform, on the operational routine of the Local Intelligence Agency (ALI) of the 23rd Military Police Battalion (BPM). The research adopts a qualitative approach, with data collected through a semi-structured questionnaire applied to the police officers who use the tool. Data analysis was conducted using content analysis methodology. The results indicate that the application contributed to the optimization of internal communication, greater speed in information sharing, improved accuracy of operational data, and reduction in the use of physical records. Despite the progress, gaps were identified in user training and in the integration with other institutional platforms. The study concludes that, although challenges persist, digitalization through mobile tools has the potential to enhance police work efficiency, strengthen operational intelligence, and promote more strategic and transparent information management. The research provides insights for improving digital technologies in public security and highlights the importance of data governance and ongoing training of agents.
