Abstract

The objective of this study was to conceptually study Burnout Syndrome, especially in the context of military police aviation, and to evaluate its presence in military police pilots in Paraná. The methodology adopted included the development of a descriptive literature review based on bibliographic research associated with a cross-sectional, exploratory, and descriptive field research with a quantitative approach, with military police pilots as the participants. The results indicated that the well-being of military police pilots is an important asset of the Corporation because it is directly related to performance, behavior regarding safety, and the willingness of these workers to strive to the maximum. It was concluded that the proactive management of Burnout Syndrome can make important contributions to preserving the quality of air operations in the Military Police because it minimizes the risk of operational errors related to fatigue and exhaustion, which guarantees the safety of pilots and crew and reflects in the service provided to the population.
