ORGANIZATION OF PHARMACEUTICAL ASSISTANCE IN THE UNIFIED HEALTH SYSTEM AND ITS RELATIONSHIP WITH THE CLINICAL PRACTICES OF THE PHARMACIST

The organization of Pharmaceutical Assistance in the Unified Health System directly influences the clinical practice of the pharmacist, determining the quality of care related to the use of medications. Administrative structuring, internal flows, and institutional protocols allow professionals to develop actions such as pharmacotherapeutic follow-up, guidance for users, and monitoring therapeutic outcomes. The decentralization of activities fosters the proximity of services to the population, enabling adaptations of practices to local needs and contributing to individualized care. The training and continuous updating of pharmacists enhance technical and communication skills, strengthening the identification of problems related to pharmacotherapy and the proposal of appropriate interventions. Working in multidisciplinary teams and using technological tools for medication management increase the reach and safety of clinical practices. Studies indicate that the alignment between public policies, service management, and professional development is crucial to consolidating clinical practice within the SUS, where understanding these relationships provides insights to improve strategies for organizing and qualifying Pharmaceutical Assistance, contributing to comprehensive and safe care for health system users.
