THE IMPORTANCE OF BIM TECHNOLOGIES IN THE TRAINING OF THE CONSTRUCTION TECHNICIAN

Abstract

BIM is a technology that encompasses a set of instruments that allows the creation of virtual models with information that are logically integrated into the computer. The study seeks to investigate the impact of BIM technologies applied to the Building Technician course, understanding how the application of BIM contributes to the improvement of knowledge, the learning process and the training of building technicians. The research uses the deductive approach method, since it starts from the general idea of ​​BIM technology, to present the scenario of the need to study this method in teaching networks of the building technician course. The historical and interpretative method was also used, requiring an overview of the emergence of BIM in the scope of civil construction through literature. The results compel us to conclude that BIM has emerged as one of the main alternatives and developments in the Construction sector in the national and international scenario in recent years. Its application system encompasses all stages of the work, from the initial design phase to the end of the entire execution, and it is also possible to manage, maintain and operate the building after the construction is finished. However, even if it is not in an ideal situation of application and development consolidated in the current scenario, as projections for implementation in the various areas of an enterprise and in teaching, integrating disciplines in the curriculum notes in Civil Construction courses, including the Building Technician, they are favorable projections for the development of the construction sector.
