Abstract

The present article aimed at the elaboration of the design of a buck converter, as well as the execution of tests and the analysis of data and / or signals in relation to a converter model in ideal conditions. The construction of the prototype was made using devices reused from scrap, but in good condition, and from a few materials purchased with its own resources. For data analysis, equipment with a high degree of reliability was used, such as an oscilloscope and a voltage regulating source, in addition to using electronic design software known as PSIM, of great precision and widely used in engineering. As for the bibliographic review, we support our study in authors with rich knowledge in the field of Power Electronics, such as HART (2011), AHMED (2000) and BOYLESTAD-NASHELSKY (1999), where in addition to identifying the technical knowledge useful for the realization From this research, the great importance of this area of knowledge was observed in several sectors of the technological environment, as well as the importance of converters within Power Electronics from the production of energy to its final consumption. Thus, this article aims to demonstrate not only how it is possible to execute a converter project, but also to demonstrate the importance of the subject within the engineering area and its real applications within the technological context that we are experiencing. With the results obtained, it can be concluded that the project was successful, despite being carried out manually and using reused materials.
