STRATEGIES TO OPTIMIZE THE OCCUPATIONAL RISKS TO WHICH WORKERS AT STERILIZED MATERIAL CENTERS ARE EXPOSED

The CME is part of the hospital environment and is responsible for processing non-critical, critical and semi-critical articles. This research seeks to present the main strategies that help to prevent the existing risks. The study refers to a systematic literature review. A search was carried out in the Virtual Health Library, Medline/Pubmed and Embase databases. The articles were read in full and analyzed according to the similarity of the theme. 17 articles were part of the research corpus, published in the years 2012, 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021. Strategies were divided into three categories, namely: Organizational strategies for preventing and responding to emergencies, in addition to psychological counseling, improving the quality and structure of work; Internal health policy with prevention strategies aimed at workers; Strategies aimed at the worker, his appreciation, the improvement of the physical and structural conditions of the work environment, training and supply of the material resources necessary for his safety. Therefore, the recognition of risks and prevention strategies addressed from the point of view of the professionals themselves become resources for improving the quality of life of the population within the work environment. The institutional manager is one of those responsible for ensuring the ergonomics and quality of work of his team, therefore, he must understand and apply risk prevention, as well as perpetuate worker health safety policies.
