ACNE TREATMENT, TEA TREE ESSENTIAL OIL: LITERATURE REVIEW ON ACNE TREATMENT USING TEA TREE METHOD

Acne is an inflammatory disease caused on the skin that affects the pilosebaceous layer, it can cause scars and blemishes on the skin, in addition, it can also cause serious psychological effects. There are several factors for the manifestation of acne, however, the most common is the hormonal load, among the variety of acnes, the most frequent is acne vulgaris that can be inflammatory or non-inflammatory, acne has a higher elevation from the age of 11 and remains at this elevation until the age of 30. However, it may be more recurrent in the period of puberty, causing lesions of different degrees and aspects. The essential oil of tea tree has been an effective alternative for the treatment of acne, according to the studies that are being carried out, the oil comes from an Australian tree called Melaleuca alternifólia, it is used as a form of treatment that has antibacterial and antioxidant properties, has chemical and therapeutic properties that are necessary to combat the varieties of microorganisms that trigger the origin of acne. The objective, at first, was to carry out the treatment with tea tree essential oil in acnes in grade II and III, used for aesthetic treatment, because through surveys of articles and studies, the essential oil is considered safe, because it acts in the fight against bacterial infections, has rich properties for tissue penetration.
