DEVELOPMENT OF ORAL LANGUAGE IN NURSERY II IN ARAQUARI: CONTRIBUTIONS OF POETRY AND MUSICALITY

Abstract

This article investigates how pedagogical practices mediated by poetry and musicality can contribute to the development of oral language and the organization of social interactions among children in Nursery II at an Early Childhood Education institution in the municipality of Araquari, Santa Catarina. The research is situated within the context of national public policies and curricular guidelines that recognize oral language as a structuring axis of pedagogical work in Early Childhood Education, particularly in the field of experience 'Listening, speaking, thinking and imagination' defined by the National Common Curricular Base. The study analyzes everyday situations in which communicative difficulties generate conflicts among young children, describing pedagogical practices that integrate nursery rhymes, chants, and children's poems into educational routines as communicative mediation strategies. Results show that the systematic incorporation of poetic and musical practices contributes to expanding vocalization attempts, reducing impulsive behaviors, and fostering more cooperative social interactions, indicating that pedagogically organized sound experiences play a structuring role in children's communicative development.

Holds a Bachelor's Degree in Pedagogy from Centro Universitário Leonardo da Vinci (2016). Currently works as an Early Childhood Education Teacher for the Municipal Government of Araquari.

Katia Regina Cardoso da Silva, Universidad Politécnica y Artística del Paraguay - UPAP

Professor. Graduated in Pedagogy from the University of the Region of Joinville (UNIVILLE, 2004); Specialist in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education from the International Faculty of Curitiba (2006); Specialist in School Management from the Faculty of Administration, Sciences, Education and Letters of Curitiba (2014); Master of Education Sciences from the Polytechnic and Artistic University of Paraguay (UPAPE, 2014); Ph.D. in Education Sciences from the University of San Lorenzo (UNISAL, 2016). Currently serves as President of the Public Servants of Araquari, Administrator of Instituto Estelar LTDA, Director of Communication at the Federation of Public Employees of Santa Catarina, and Professor in the Master's Program at UNISAL, teaching the course Administration and School Management.
