THE IMPORTANCE OF CONTINUING EDUCATION FOR INCLUSIVE EDUCATION: CONTRIBUTIONS TO TEACHING PRACTICE
Abstract
This article analyzes the importance of continuing education for inclusive education in the classroom context, as well a its benefits for students, ensuring their access to quality education. Furthermore, initial teacher training is often insufficient to prepare educators to face the challenges of inclusive education. In this context, teachers need pedagogical tools and strategies that promote a truly inclusive environment, in which every student can actively participate in the learning process. Through a bibliographic review based on authors such as Silva, Costa, and Jannuzzi, the study identifies and describes the practices, challenges, and benefits perceived by educators regarding continuing education in inclusive education. The research also aims to map training needs and the impacts of these educational processes on teachers’ pedagogical practices. The methodology adopted will be qualitative in nature, allowing for a deeper understanding of educators’ perceptions and experiences regarding the importance of continuing education in inclusive education. This approach makes it possible to explore nuances and meanings that cannot be fully captured through quantitative methods. The research will be conducted through a bibliographic review, consulting relevant academic books and articles on inclusive education and continuing teacher education.
