Abstract

Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder that compromises memory and cognitive function. Evidence shows that nutrition plays a key role in its prevention and management, especially through nutrients with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. This study examined the influence of nutrition on AD, highlighting the contribution of vitamins C, E, B-complex and omega-3 fatty acids in reducing oxidative stress and protecting neuronal cells. Additionally, dietary patterns such as the Mediterranean, DASH and MIND diets demonstrated positive effects on cognitive health. Adopting a balanced diet rich in bioactive compounds is an important preventive and therapeutic strategy for Alzheimer’s Disease.
