Resumen

This article aims to analyze how the cultural and social processes of the rural community of Canavieira, located in the municipality of Senhor do Bonfim, Bahia, are articulated through school educational practices, with emphasis on Youth, Adult and Elderly Education (EPJAI). The research presented here is qualitative in nature, with an ethnographic approach, and focuses on the relationships between culture, identity, and education in the semi-arid region of Bahia. Using methodological resources such as sensitive listening, thick description, and the collective construction of a community timeline, the study seeks to understand how local knowledge, collective agricultural production, and spaces of sociability influence school practices and learning processes. The expected results include the strengthening of community identity, the recognition of local culture as a pedagogical foundation, and the proposal of contextualized educational practices that contribute to a meaningful, emancipatory education rooted in the territory.
