CASE STUDY: NURSE'S PERFORMANCE IN FRONT OF BONE MARROW TRANSPLANTATION TEAM IN CARDIO-ONCOLOGICAL PATIENT

ABSTRACT: Bone marrow transplantation (BMT) is currently being used both for the treatment of hematological diseases and for non-hematological diseases. However, during treatment some patients may develop complications in different systems. In the cardiovascular system, the most common of these complications is heart failure (HF), which is characterized by the inability of the heart to pump enough blood for the whole body, thus failing to meet all the needs of the body. In general, HF occurs in the first few months after the start of chemotherapy but may also occur within the first few weeks or even late, years after treatment. In this perspective, the relevance of the study is in the wake of the nursing team regarding the fundamental importance of their role from admission to discharge and post-discharge of these patients.
