PATHOLOGIES CAUSED BY MOISTURE IN BUILDINGS

Abstract

The present work aims to study pathologies in construction, delimiting them in relation to humidity, as well as identifying the typology of pathological manifestations related to the factor "humidity" and presenting solutions that reduce the impacts caused by the pathology, such as the elaboration of a project that will define each step to be performed to waterproof the area affected by moisture, which will inhibit failures in the execution of this relevant step for a quality building. To expose such information, the project was elaborated based on bibliographic research of correlated scientific and academic works. It was perceived that the waterproofing project is a relevant strategy of action, because it offers relevant information for a construction, with regard to the reduction of the effects caused by moisture in a building. It is as important as waterproofing, which inhibits numerous pathological manifestations in the area of civil construction. Thus, both waterproofing and the specific project for this stage are fundamental for the conservation of a building.
