Abstract

In the neighborhood of Santa Teresa, in Rio de Janeiro, the streets serve the most varied forms
artistic and resistance. The right to the city seen from the perspective of art and how it can
somehow interfere in the awareness process, fight and help in the
beautification of the look that passes on the streets. Street art as a way of
democratization of art in the city space. Reflections provided to the subject who
sees the images on the city walls and their importance in the formation of identities and
subjectivities.
