Abstract

This research aims to reveal the dynamics of publications on enterprise valuation in Brazilian scientific journals. We developed a survey of Brazilian papers published about the theme valuation, from 1999 to 2021, resulting in a sample of 60 articles. The results show a very broad scenario of emerging themes in the area, with a predominance of quantitative methods, focus on methods and elements for the evaluation of companies. The frequency of publications does not show a clear time series tendency, but indicates that the subject is current and relevant, with no concentration of scientific journals. Publications predominate in journals with a higher qualitative extract, a fact that reveals the high scientific impact of this theme and the effervescence of the discussion about the subject in science. Authorship in general is dispersed and the analysis of networks indicates the existence of different lines of thought within the theme of company valuation.
