STUDY OF THE IMPACT OF THE ADOPTION OF DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES IN FOOTBALL

Digital technology has been increasingly used in several areas of knowledge in order to improve the environments in which it is inserted. With technological advances, the sports environment has been undergoing changes in order to provide improvements and assertiveness in complying with its rules, and football is one of the sports in which technology is applied for this purpose. In this context, this work aims to conduct a systematic review about the impact caused by the use of digital technology in soccer, analyzing the types of technologies implemented and the role they play within the sport. For this, the systematic literature review (RSL) was adopted as methodology, with a protocol method proposed by Kitchenham and Charters (2007), having three phases for its realization, namely: planning, conducting and documentation. The main issue of the study aims to understand the changes that occurred in football through the insertion of digital technology and how these changes affected it. The synthesis of the results occurred through the analysis of 8 papers, selected after the search and application of filters in the Google Academic databases, CAPES Journals and Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations (BDTD). The results demonstrated how digital technology is being applied in soccer and how it influences the practice of sport and its results, showing that technology is being a differential for this sport.
