Abstract

The exacerbated use of the visual system in its synkinetics, promotes various disorders and symptoms in the user of screens and excess of school activities, nowadays. The concern with aesthetic factors of the past, in cases of strabismus, are currently overcome by problems of neurodevelopment and learning, promoted by visual excesses. It is observed in the literature, the harms of excessive exposure to screens and digital asthenopia. Latent deviations are noticed and can cause blurring of vision, fatigue of the ocular muscles, disinterest and lack of concentration when reading. The fatigue perceived in the extrinsic ocular muscles is one of the responsible for the forias, these deviations cause several unwanted neusosensory effects. The measurement techniques are diverse and varied. Maddox, Torrington and Howell will be the focus of discussion that will aim to measure forias and their compensation, avoiding the symptomatology. Through a review of published studies and articles, the importance of propedeutics and optometric conducts in the face of deviations is demonstrated.
