KNOWLEDGE AND LEARNING IN POLICE ORGANIZATIONS: AN ANALYSIS ON THE PERSPECTIVE OF ACADEMIC WORKING

This study aims to present how knowledge is disseminated in the Corporation, from the perspective of academic works. This article is also related to the issue of learning, since such works are the result of a learning process carried out mainly at the Guatupê Military Police Academy. Academic papers recorded by the Officers' Promotion Commission were collected, as it is the place most likely to contain all the courses taken by the Officers. After the classification according to the master disciplines of the Military Police Academy of Guatupê it was identified that Law is the main topic discussed by the Corporation, but throughout the career of the Officer, the focus shifts to Management. It is suggested for future research a more in-depth analysis of the works to identify the themes treated in each of the disciplines pointed out here.
