Bruxism is defined as the involuntary parafunction of clenching and/or grinding teeth compulsorily. Classified as one of the most challenging conditions in dentistry, it affects, to some degree or time in life, more than 90% of the general population. The objective of the study is to present the efficacy of the main therapeutic conducts used in Dentistry, and to assist in the treatment of bruxism. To develop the study, the search process was initially carried out in the main research bases in health sciences, such as: PubMed, LILACS and Embase. The criteria for search filtering aimed to include articles published in a five-year interval, between 2018 and 2023. In addition, studies with online content fully available, and published in Portuguese and English, were selected. Inclusion criteria were cohort, cross-sectional, case-control, applied research and pilot studies. Integrative, systematic and simple reviews of literature, books, book chapters, letters to the author, abstracts of annals and opinion articles were excluded. During the selection process, the following results were obtained through searches on the platforms: PubMed 37 (51.39%), Lilacs 23 (31.94%), EMBASE 12 (16.67%). It is important for healthcare professionals to be aware of the different treatment options available and to consider the individual needs of the patient when choosing the most appropriate approach for each case of bruxism.
