Accessibility ensures that subjects, with disabilities or not, have free access and use of public environments with safety and universalization. Therefore, its application and implementation must be instituted and ensured in all environments, especially and effectively, in public spaces. Through a qualitative research, the aim of this study is to observe the importance of implementing accessibility in public spaces, through NBR 9050 (ABNT, 2020), through the analysis of the Public Square of the Model Neighborhood in Ijuí / RS, given that such space predominates an intense flow of people for various purposes, such as physical activities, sports practices, meetings, recreation, leisure, entertainment, among others. It is evident that all public spaces must guarantee inclusion in full, since inclusion demands the notion of belonging, occupying and experiencing the locus. Thus, urban accessibility is related to the guarantee of access to circulation, as well as the availability of experience and use of equipment and spaces for all individuals.
