Abstract

This article preludes an analyses to gender centered public policies presented in the context of the City Council of Itajaí. Therefore, the analyses took place surrounding the concepts to be discussed in this project, attributed to policies and the definitions of gender, established during the theoretical framework section by different scholars in varied areas of study, in addition to a data collection held through the use of the Itajaí City Council’s computer-based system, as to establish a parallel between the object of this study and the transformative power of the public policies  in our social and cultural environment.
