Abstract

In short, the importance of the study of microbiology in the integral care of the human being, aiming at the detection of microorganisms harmful to the health of society, is notorious. Thus, with the advent of the spread of COVID-19, studies on viral syndromes leveraged the information network and triggered other methods of conduct regarding each disease. Therefore, promoting and democratizing knowledge about the similarities and differences of each infectious agent makes full care for society possible. Furthermore, the “MicroNaMed” project is a qualitative approach of the action-research type, based on a series of activities carried out using new information and communication technologies, innovative pedagogical tools in the project. In this context, medical students developed skills to build knowledge, in a self-taught way, however, using great scientific references with the aim of self-training and then socializing knowledge about infectious diseases to the community. The project was developed in three stages: internal training of students, development of informative posts on the Instagram platform and socio-educational lectures at the Basic Health Unit (UBS) Dona Mocinha - Module 38, in Parnaíba - PI. However, it is expected that the project will help both health professionals and the community worked in question, enabling a greater understanding of the differential diagnoses and their symptomatological similarities of the main microorganisms of the aforementioned pathological syndromes.
