Abstract

The use of software has proved to be an important tool for problem solving, improvement and efficiency of industrial processes, among others. The use of this tool allows simple and practical application of modifications and ideas for solving problems, obtaining a complete report of the results, and observing if such changes have obtained a positive or negative result in the plant, proving the effectiveness, planning and improvement of the studied process. With the same purpose of simulation, this work aims at the analysis of the production line of the medium-sized plastic manufacturer. Using the software to simulate the monthly work of to determine production parameters such as lead time, determination of the bottleneck of the production line, probabilistic analysis of the processes and simulation of possible changes in the industrial process for better efficiency and result. The entire data collection process was carried out through production line follow-up, timed process times, working hours and employee intervals, quantity of raw material, quantities and capacity of available machines and information made available by the sales and production sector with respect to the order of an important customer.
