ANALYSIS OF THE EVOLUTION OF POST-DISCHARGE ICU TREATMENT OF A PATIENT DIAGNOSED WITH COVID: A CASE STUDY

SARS-COV-2 (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by the coronavirus, and its main symptoms are fever, headache, cough and sore throat, which can reach a serious condition leading to symptoms such as failure of organs, edema, septic shock, severe pneumonia and malaise syndrome, acute respiratory system. In most cases, infection with covid-19 causes mild illness (81%), fever (88.7%), cough (57.6%) and dyspnea (45.6%), hospitalized relatively high (20.3 %), ARDS (32.8%), Shortness of breath (65.6% in the ICU group, 42.6% in the ICU ward group. -19 during hospitalization and after discharge.This is a case study, carried out through the documental analysis of the physiotherapeutic medical record of a patient, placing the physiotherapist's treatment and observing the clinical evolution within the pathological picture. study, laboratory and imaging tests to detect COVID-19, the ventilatory management techniques used, in addition to emphasizing the role of the physiotherapist within the ICU, the main sequelae left by the disease, and physiotherapy treatment within the hospital environment after discharge of the patient for the rehabilitation treatment.
