Abstract

This text is an interview made with himself by the linguist and illustrator Luiz Fernando Gomes
motivated by the release in December 2020, of the book Causos do Leôncio and other stories
written by Benedicto Cleto, in which he worked as an illustrator. It is, therefore, a “self-interview”
with questions of his own creation, based on the book Traço e Prosa (Cosac Naify, 20212)
and on a Conversation Circle with students from the Letters course at the University of Sorocaba, subject
Literatures for Children and Juvenile Here, the author explains his creative process also considering
his linguistic studies on verbal-visual relations.
