NIVEL DE ADHESIÓN AL TRATAMIENTO DEL GLAUCOMA Y FACTORES QUE INFLUYEN EN ÉL: UNA REVISIÓN INTEGRADORA

Resumen

Como principal causa de ceguera irreversible en el mundo, el glaucoma todavía tiene numerosos obstáculos en el establecimiento de un tratamiento adecuado. El objetivo de esta revisión integradora es identificar, describir y analizar, en estudios publicados de enero de 2012 a enero de 2022, el nivel de tratamiento del glaucoma y los factores que influyen en él. Para realizar esta revisión integradora de la literatura, se incluyeron artículos en portugués, inglés y español en las bases de datos Pubmed y Scielo basados en palabras clave estandarizadas a través de Búsquedas en el DeCS. Inicialmente, se encontraron 879 artículos, y después de la aplicación de los criterios de inclusión, se seleccionaron 32. El porcentaje de apoyo sin tratamiento varió del 12,2% al 92,0%. Los factores que pueden influir en la falta de tratamiento y que fueron analizados en este estudio se pueden agrupar en factores individuales, factores socioeconómicos, factores relacionados con la enfermedad y factores relacionados con el tratamiento. Hubo una falta de políticas públicas de salud que actúen bajo estas principales barreras de no tratamiento y, además, se observó que solo 3 estudios se realizaron en Brasil, identificando una falta de estudios sobre el tema.
