UNA REVISIÓN SISTEMÁTICA DE LAS REDES SOCIALES Y SUS EFECTOS EN LA MEJORA DE LA CALIDAD DE LA EDUCACIÓN

Resumen

Los estudiantes pueden experimentar dificultades durante sus carreras académicas. Por el contrario, las redes sociales están cada vez más integradas en la vida cotidiana, con diversos fines, como el entretenimiento y la educación. La propuesta de este trabajo es una Revisión Sistemática de la Literatura (RSL) para investigar los usos de las redes sociales en la educación, respondiendo a tres Preguntas de Investigación (QPs) QP1: ¿cómo actúan las redes sociales para mejorar la calidad de la enseñanza? QP2: ¿Cómo motivan las redes sociales a los estudiantes de pregrado? QP3: ¿Cuáles son los tipos de redes sociales que se emplean para la enseñanza? Siguiendo la metodología de Kitchenham (2014), la RSL arrojó 1.651 y se seleccionaron 34 estudios. Se identificó que las redes sociales pueden ser utilizadas para mejorar el aprendizaje, en el comportamiento profesional de los educadores, en la evaluación educativa, en la resolución de problemas y en la asistencia a la programación (QP1), actuando también en el desarrollo de la motivación y el compromiso de los estudiantes (QP2). En la mayoría de los estudios se utilizó Facebook (3PM).
