NÍVEL DE ADESÃO AO TRATAMENTO DO GLAUCOMA E FATORES QUE O INFLUENCIAM: UMA REVISÃO INTEGRATIVA

Como principal causa de cegueira irreversível no mundo, o glaucoma ainda conta com inúmeros obstáculos no estabelecimento de um tratamento adequado. O objetivo desta revisão integrativa é identificar, descrever e analisar, em pesquisas publicadas de janeiro de 2012 a janeiro de 2022, o nível de adesão ao tratamento de glaucoma e os fatores que o influenciam. Para realizar essa revisão integrativa de literatura foram incluídos artigos em português, inglês e espanhol nas bases de dados Pubmed e Scielo a partir de palavras-chave padronizadas por meio de buscas no DeCS. Inicialmente foram encontrados 879 artigos, sendo que, após a aplicação dos critérios de inclusão, foram selecionados 32. A porcentagem de não adesão ao tratamento variou de 12.2% a 92,0%. Os fatores que podem influenciar a não adesão e que foram analisados nesse estudo podem ser agrupados em fatores individuais, fatores socioeconômicos, fatores relacionados à doença e fatores relacionados ao tratamento. Observou-se uma carência de políticas públicas de saúde que atuem sob essas principais barreiras da não adesão ao tratamento e, além disso, foi constatado que somente 3 estudos foram realizados no Brasil, identificando uma falta de estudos sobre o tema.
