Abstract

This research arose from the need to interpretation and contextualization the coronavirus pandemic and your expressions of “social question” found in the many crises caused for this reality, through present discourses in the comic strip.  Since your begin in 2019, this global health crisis cause multiple harmful damages for the brazilian population and, for this, can investigate it through a privileged locus from historical perspective, political and social. The selection of the corpus was made, exclusively, through researches in the Google platform, in one the world’s leading social networks: Twitter. To this, we chose one of the biggest cartoonists and experienced screenwriter in this genre, Laerte Coutinho. To give us veracity in the analysis about “pandemic phenomenon”, we use websites like: Folha de São Paulo, VEJA, Jornal da USP, etc. That said, having as support the areas of Linguistics and Social Sciences in order to effectively contribute to this very unique global event. Methodologically, this research is characterized by being  qualitative nature, for being guided in the description and  the interpretation of social phenomena. As a result, we perceive as the presence of  invisible and still untouchable microorganism generates several fissures in the behavior habits of the brazilian population, in addition to placing limits on great empires, such as the United States and China.  this way, we can observe the social function of the comic strips in brazilian daily life the intensification of inequities in the context of the pandemic and the evil consequences for  population that lives from work.
