Abstract

Objective: To map studies on the use of virtual simulation in the area of intravenous therapy in the training process of doctors, nurses and nursing technicians. Method: Scope Review Protocol that will be carried out according to the methodology proposed by the Joanna Briggs Institute - JBI, using the extension of the PRISMA-ScR checklist, in the following sources of information: MEDLINE (Pubmed), Virtual Health Library, EMBASE , COCHRANE, CINAHL, SCOPUS e Web of Science and Google Scholar. Studies that answer the following guiding question will be considered: “What are the benefits of using virtual simulation in the training of medical and nursing professionals in the context of intravenous therapy?”. Published in English, Spanish, Portuguese and French. Selection will take place independently by two reviewers using Rayyan software and divergences assessed by a third reviewer. Data extraction will be done using a form developed by the authors and IRaMuTeQ software will be processed. Results: The results will be presented in a summary table, narrative discussion and flowchart. Conclusion: It is expected at the end of the research, to know how the training process of professionals takes place through virtual simulation, as well as to verify the challenges, advantages, disadvantages and results arising from this teaching modality for medical and nursing professionals in the area. of intravenous therapy.
