This work aims to clarify the complex concept of Bifurcation of Nature, derived from the philosophy of Alfred North Whitehead. A brief history of Bifurcation is presented, that is, the influence of previous models on its formation and the problems that led to its formulation; then, starting from the introductory basis provided by the historical approach, several bifurcated systems are exemplified, aiming to assist the reader in visualizing the Bifurcation in its various fields of occurrence; finally, using the examples and the historical approach, a definition for the concept of Bifurcation of Nature is presented. In addition to the search for clarification, regarding the concept in its history, existence and complexity, basic criticisms of the bifurcated model are evidenced, strictly, refutations and initial questions of Whitehead's philosophy to the Bifurcation of Nature.
