EXIT STRATEGIES: A NECESSARY MECHANISM TO EXERCISE ECONOMIC RESILIENCE IN THE FACE OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC

COVID-19 generated a scenario of global uncertainty, society was not prepared for such a grim event. Faced with such a shocking event, nations worldwide implemented various strategies to contain the spread of the virus and its negative impact on the economy. As well as, subsequently, exit strategies in search of economic reactivation. This article intends to explore the effects and exit strategies of the COVID-19 pandemic considering the perspective of the Economy. For this, a literature review of articles indexed in high-impact and regional databases was developed. The main results determined expose the financial support granted by the State as a means of rescue for companies during the height of the pandemic, as well as the implementation of online educational strategies. Among the sectors that received the worst impact is exposed to tourism and with respect to the size of the company to micro and small ones. The determined findings imply a still ongoing pandemic and the vital need to design and implement future exit strategies.
